Cancellation Policy
We understand that unanticipated events happen occasionally in everyone’s life. In our desire to be effective and fair to all clients, the following policies are honored:

24 hour advance notice is required when canceling an appointment. This allows the opportunity for someone else to schedule an appointment. If you are unable to give us 24 hours advance notice you will be charged the full amount of your appointment. This amount must be paid prior to your next scheduled appointment.  Cancellation must be done either online through the acuity scheduling system (a link in the confirmation email) or via text message to 310-941-8727 no less than 24 hours from the time of your scheduled appointment.

Anyone who either forgets or consciously chooses to forgo their appointment for whatever reason will be considered a “no-show.” They will be charged for their “missed” appointment.

Late Arrivals
If you arrive late, your session may be shortened in order to accommodate others whose appointments follow yours. Depending upon how late you arrive, your therapist will then determine if there is enough time remaining to start a treatment. Regardless of the length of the treatment actually given, you will be responsible for the “full” session. Out of respect and consideration to your therapist and other customers, please plan accordingly and be on time.
Except in some cases of personal injury where medical pay is available, we do not accept any medical insurance; however, if asked in advance or at the time of your session, an insurance superbill can be produced for you to submit to your medical insurance company for reimbursement after full payment has been made to the office for your treatment session.  Preparation and submission of a superbill from this office is not a guarantee of reimbursement, and Laura Caputo will not be held liable for any unpaid services. You should check with your insurance company, preferably in advance, to find out their reimbursement policy for massage and manual therapy.  Your insurance company may also require a prescription or referral from a physician prior to authorizing any treatment sessions for reimbursement.
Scope of Practice
Laura Caputo is not and makes no claims of being a physician, nor should this treatment be considered a substitute for medical care that may be necessary outside of her scope of practice.  She can not and will not diagnose any condition you may have.  Any medical concerns you may have should be addressed to your healthcare practitioner. With proper consent Laura Caputo will speak to your healthcare practitioner if he/she or you deems it necessary prior to beginning any treatment sessions with her.
In Home/Office Massage
The same cancellation policy applies as stated above for in home/office massage and bodywork sessions.  Extra travel charges will apply if you are outside of the South Bay service area.  Please inquire prior to your massage for proper pricing.

We look forward to serving you!
